    Dear Community,

I want to express my deep gratitude for your support and participation in our recent trip to Israel. Our mission was to provide gear and supplies to community members and their friends serving in the IDF, visit wounded soldiers and civilians, pay our respects at Shiva homes, and bring warmth, appreciation, love, along with a message of unity and solidarity to our brave soldiers. I had the honor of representing our community, and I am truly thankful to each and every one of you who generously contributed.

Our trip was met with immense appreciation from the soldiers. They were genuinely touched to know that communities from all around the world were thinking of them and praying for their safety. They enjoyed the moments of Dancing, putting on Tefillin, having BBQs, and sharing cigars, but their gratitude towards us was overwhelming. We reminded them that they are the true heroes deserving of praise, but the inspiration we gained from them was immeasurable.

Since our return, I've received hundreds of messages and calls from friends and acquaintances, all eager to help provide supplies and gear to the soldiers and from soldiers and their families trying to obtain items. Thanks to your support, we've managed to send many suitcases to Israel over the past week.

This past Shabbos I spoke how this is our generations defining moment and that our actions will be the measure of our devotion to our people in these critical times. With this in mind, I will be returning to Israel this Monday for another two-day mission with the same objectives. We will also be representing the City of Miami in a special delivery of their humanitarian aid they will be collecting until the mission.

In addition to our previous goals, we are undertaking a special project. During the 1982 Lebanon war, the Rebbe emphasized the importance of every soldier writing a letter in a Torah scroll. We will begin the writing of a new Torah on Reiim Base, located on the border of Gaza. Every soldier on the base and other bases we visit will have an opportunity to fill in a letter in the IDF UNITY TORAH.

If you would like to participate in this upcoming trip, you can contribute the following items that will be of great help to our soldiers. Please drop them off at The Rok Family Shul lobby or order through Amazon to be delivered by this Sunday:

    Green Knee Pads
    Level 3+ Bullet Proof Vests
    First aid kits
    Ifak Kits
    Cammel back

    Ace bandages
    Green Tzitzis

Your support means the world to us, and we believe that together, we can make a significant difference.
